Needed
All students
should bring 1 spiral notebook for word study. We are at the end of our 1st

any “junk mail” envelopes that come to your home. We can use them for our post office. Ask your child if their headphones are
still working.
Valentine’s Day
Each
student should have one friendship card for each child in the class. Cards can be homemade or purchased. Your child should practice careful, neat
handwriting and practice reading friends’ names. He/she will be reading and passing out their
own cards. It is best to start early and
write and read a few cards each day. Please send cards on or before Monday,
February 13th. Use the list

February 8th
is the 100th Day of Kindergarten
Parent-Child Project
Instructions
Our 100th day of school is Wednesday,
February 8th. It is a kindergarten tradition to celebrate it in grand style. There
will be many hands-on activities on this special day. To begin the 100th day of
school, the students will present their 100's creations to the class. Your
child should collect and count 100 items. At home, he/she should arrange and
display the 100 items in an interesting and creative way. The items may range
from golf tees to Barbie shoes to marshmallows. Brainstorm different items with
your child. You and your child will have fun with this problem solving
activity. Other ideas include:
paperclips, Cheerios, stickers, things that are round --- Be creative
and have fun learning together!
